Speaking to journalists at Dhangadi Airport today, the CPN-MC chief said, "I haven't seen the full video thus far.
I have learnt about it from the media, but there is absolutely no need for anyone to make an issue over a song."
"I have definitely met hundreds of former combatants during my foreign visits to countries such as Qatar and Malaysia.
They are definitely toiling hard there, but almost all of them assured me that they hadn't gone astray and would support me and the cause I'm fighting for," he said. The former rebel leader also asked if it was wrong to join peaceful politics for the sake of welfare of the nation."In fact, there are two groups of people: one who take pride in our achievements by joining peaceful politics and the other who hold that it was wrong to join the peace process.
It's natural that people argue for or against things.
We shouldn't be worked up over differing viewpoints.
We must accept it," Dahal observed.A version of this article appears in the print on March 15, 2022, of The Himalayan Times.
